GOD OF THE NOMAD
Read Daniel 3: 13-18
The LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he
will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither
forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
International migration is on the rise, and its scope,
complexity, and impact continue to grow. Traveling to a new
place can come with anxiety and fear of the unknown. The
life of Abram when God asked him to leave his home to go
to a strange land. The stories of Joseph and of Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego show how we can cultivate the
presence of God, even in unfamiliar places. In the end,
what really matters is that we endeavor to follow God’s will
wherever God leads us.
The Bible has been my companion through all my journeys, helping me to look to God, to study, and to focus on
God’s word rather than on my environment. Choosing to
trust and focus on God’s never-failing love and provision can
strengthen us for all the changes of life.
Prayer: Dear God, teach us to trust and obey you no matter
what our circumstances may be. Amen.
